Pickled Red Onions


  • 2 medium red onions, halved and thinly sliced
  • 1 dl apple cider vinegar
  • 3 tbsp. freshly squeezed lime juice 
  • 3 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tbsp. salt


  1. Peel and slice the onions into thin slices.
  2. Boil the vinegar, lime, sugar and salt in a saucepan. 
  3. Pour the liquid over the onion slices. Let cool and place in the fridge for at least 1 hour.
